Farmers Forum for Trade & Social Justice (FAFOTRAJ) is a not for Profit non-governmental organization that aims at
promoting sustainable wealth and employment creation among smallholder farmers, especially youth and women through
agribusiness. It was established in the year 2007 out of the realization that smallholder farmers have myriad challenges
to access structured markets, capital (land, finance), technologies and entrepreneurship skills in their businesses.
FAFOTRAJ recognizes that such challenges can be due to absence of appropriate skills capacity building hubs, lack of
market and trade facilitation systems, and unsupportive business policy environment. Therefore FAFOTRAJ adopts the market
systems and value chain development approach that addresses both policy issues and capacity building of youth and women
farmers in enterprise development for their integration in the competitive commercial sector. We promote and work with a
wide range of enterprises in agribusiness such as producer groups, small-scale agro-processors, distributors, warehouse
operators, agro-dealers and agro-transporters.
